What ‘being ready’ actually means

For a long time, “ready” sounded like a finish line: more money, more certainty, fewer fears. Then I noticed something : every time one box was checked, another appeared. Readiness kept moving. What changed everything was redefining it: ready is having a next step you trust.

Practical signs:

  • You can name your “why” in one sentence
  • You’ve chosen a timeline (even a flexible one)
  • You’ve listed two people or services you can lean on
  • You’ve made space for the first appointments or research.

You don’t need zero fear. You need a structure that protects your peace while you move forward, one clear step at a time.
